The Philippine Councilors League gathered delegates from across the country for the 1st Continuing Local Legislative Education Program (CLLEP) held on September 17–19, 2025, at the Grand Regal Hotel in Davao City. This milestone event marked a new chapter in strengthening the capabilities of local legislators, offering a series of plenary sessions and breakout activities designed to enhance legislative performance, promote best practices, and deepen understanding of oversight functions.
Over three days, participants engaged with seasoned resource speakers, including former PCL leaders, DILG representatives, and legal experts who shared valuable insights on effective sessions, key legislative actions, and the evolving landscape of local governance. The program also featured the introduction of interim national officers and a meaningful dialogue with the DILG–BLGS, reinforcing collaboration between local legislators and national agencies. The event concluded with fellowship and renewed commitment to public service, setting the tone for continuous learning and empowered local governance.
